Pastor's Weekly Message

"...to behold the beauty of the Lord..." l Psalm 27:4

Those opportunities abound, but I have a particular picture in mind of course. The recent string of heavily frosted mornings provided the perfect opportunity.  Looking out my office window, toward the park, seeing the white blanket of frost on the grass below, my gaze retreated to the inclined walkway leading to the deck.  There, in graceful arcs and intricate patterns, was one spider web after another.  At another time they might have been largely invisible, but they were very noticeable on this morning.  The delicate strands and their intricacies were revealed as works of art because of the frost that clung to them.

That frost, as the news was reported, could be a threat and cause damage, but it also provided an opportunity "to behold the beauty of the Lord".

In praise of the Creator,
Pastor Randy

"Holy God, we thank you for your constant presence, your redeeming love and the gift of your peace.  Our relationships are fragile, and sometimes we do not know who to trust.  Speak a word of peace to our fears, a word of comfort to our suffering, a word of faith to our doubting hearts.  Amen."
