SOV Potluck on October 29

Hello SOV Community -

It's not too soon to think about our Reformation Anniversary potluck on October 29.  We are asking folks to sign up and bring either a salad or side dish, a main dish, or a dessert. We would like to encourage you to look to your own experiences with "Lutheran food" as you participate.

What is Lutheran food? For some, it's lutefisk or Danish butter cookies. For others, it's German sausage or hot potato salad. Most Lutherans (that I know) love coffee. And some of us remember potlucks that included many colors of jello, many kinds of casseroles, and wonderful baked desserts. This is a time to celebrate our past, our present community with all of its diversity, and to look forward with joy to who we will become together as children of God. Let's do it with food! Bring whatever you like; just add your name, and check the category.

There will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex on Sunday.

God bless!
