Pastor's Weekly Message

"Go, and may the Lord be with you." First Samuel 17:37
In the midst of Vacation Bible School now.  Nothing new there.  We still do it every year.  Might lament the lack of numbers (and we can work on that), but there is no lamenting the effort offered.  There has been joy aplenty to be found.  There has been singing, dancing and playing of all kinds.
The great hope of course is that the kids (of all ages) gathered here learn stories from the Bible, and that they will stick.  It is about planting seeds.  Experiencing church in another way.
The quote above is from the story of David and Goliath.  How well do you remember the story?  I have experienced it anew again, and that is a good thing.  A reminder that the stories never really get old.  And that admonition is good for us all to hear, and share.  In the midst of life's challenges know these words, and hear the great promise contained in them.  "Go, and may the Lord be with you."
In the peace and power of the Christ,
Pastor Randy
"Gracious Lord, we live with the results of our sin and brokenness every hour.  but you offer another way.  Your grace is a gift that sets us free to be changed into the new creatures you call us to be.  Set us free, we pray.  Liberate us from all that keeps us trapped and bound, for in you alone we will find freedom to be all you created us to be.  Amen."
