Pastor's Weekly Message

"O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever."  Psalm 107:1

What else but words of thankfulness?  Sometimes the thanks seem more obvious than others.  The other night when the wind was howling and the rain was coming down in sheets.  It was a clear reminder of how rich and blessed so many of us are.

But sometimes (forgive me Lord) I overlook how rich I am.  So many folks to treat lovingly, and so many that treat me so well. (Thinking of Philippians 1:3-4 here, "I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you")  May we always remember our blessings, and be strengthened by them to face our challenges.  Strengthened to remember those who are not so blessed, that we might be a blessing.

And recall just a bit more scripture, this time from I Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances..."

With the Psalmist, give thanks to the Lord for he is good and his steadfast love endures forever,

Pastor Randy

"Almighty God our Father, your generous goodness comes to us new every day.  By the work of your Spirit lead us to acknowledge your good news, give thanks for your benefits, and serve you in willing obedience, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.  Amen."
