Pastor's Weekly Message

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it." John 1:5

Never tire of those words. And the light comes in all sorts of forms. Taking down Christmas lights the other day, stepping carefully around the flower beds because there are already dozens of green shoots poking through the earth. They are light in these sometimes dark and dreary days.

Those words came to mind again tonight after coming home from a late call. Ken Harris died tonight, the day after his 79th birthday. He had one more fine piece of cake, was in his own home, with his wife of 57 years, and his children. His passing was peaceful and as blessed as such a time can be. There were tears, and there will be more. There was laughter at remembrance of life, and there will be more.

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it."

In Christ,
Pastor Randy

"O God, you revealed your Son to the nations by the leading of a star.  Lead us now by faith to know your presence in our lives, and bring us to the full vision of your glory, through your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen."
