Pastor's Weekly Message

"Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."  Philippians 4:8

If my turns to nature have grown tiresome I apologize, but such surprises as I receive there are at least a part of what Paul is writing about in the verse above.(At least in my estimation.)  Gifts of grace that lift me.  And purely that, gifts.

On this day it was the sight of two herons, visible from the church windows looking out over Bronson Creek Park.  One heron was plodding through the water, one was perched in a tree.  What a sight!  But what made the gift seem even more gracious?  One of the teachers from KOK, and some of the kids, had been watching this lovely picture, and she came up stairs to point it out to me.  A shared gift of grace, now that is an uplifting and beautiful gift to behold.

May we be blessed to share the same.

Still in praise of the Creator,
Pastor Randy

"O God, when you talk of faith you say that we need only but a little and we can do much.  Deepen our faith.  Help us to live, trusting that you are with us each step of the way.  We know our faith will shake and falter, but continue to strengthen us and to let us see every moment that you are ever faithful.  We know we can trust you.  Help us to do just that.  Amen."
