Pastor's Weekly Message

It is probably a bit early for such things, but being so early in this new year is the perfect time to take note.  What I'm talking about are the green shoots springing forth, by the mail box at church, at home along the raised beds along our drive way, and probably many many other spots.

First noticed them a couple of weeks ago, and while I suppose they are really nothing new, they still took me by surprise.  In these sometimes cold, gray days, what a sweet gift.  It is a reminder that creation continues whether we are aware or not.  And even better, from those small green shoots are the promise of even grander treats yet to come.

Thanks for the promise and the hope Lord.

Still in praise of the Creator,
Pastor Randy

"Gracious Creator, you have made us, and before we draw our first breath, you know and have called us by name.  You invite us to come to you as we are, without cover-up.  Help us to know that we are cherished, and that we can trust your grace rather than our own striving.  Amen."
